Arbor Day Foundation to Rally Corporate Leaders During Climate Week

Arbor Day Foundation

Arbor Day Foundation – During Climate Week in New York City next week, the Arbor Day Foundation will gather a forward-thinking group of corporate executives. The cohort, known as the Evergreen Alliance, comprises corporate partners such as Verizon, HP, Marriott, L’Oreal, International Paper, Georgia-Pacific, Salesforce, Procter & Gamble, MetLife, FedEx, and UPS.

“Trees are gaining importance as more people learn about their ability to mitigate the effects of climate change.” “Our corporate partners recognize that tree planting is more important than ever,” said Dan Lambe, CEO of the Arbor Day Foundation. “We are honored to work with such a diverse group of industry leaders who are eager to broaden their impact and deepen their understanding of sustainability.”

The Evergreen Alliance will meet during Climate Week to explore biodiversity and how trees can help support healthy ecosystems. Some partners will also take part in a walking tour of Brooklyn that will focus on urban heat and its effects. Membership in the Alliance will allow corporate entities to broaden their understanding of the value of trees while also providing insight to the Foundation through talks on upcoming sustainability trends and strategies.
