BB rebukes banks for using CSR funds
CSR funds – On Saturday, Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Abdur Rouf Talukder chastised banks for diverting corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds away from their intended purposes.
Such practises, according to the governor, should be avoided. “We should use the fund to benefit society,” he stated.
He also mentioned the central bank’s own CSR fund.
“I discovered it when I joined the central bank. Because BB is not in business, it should not have such a fund “Talukder explained.
