“Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” award given to Covestro LLC

Covestro LLC

Covestro LLC gets “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” award

Among the top performers in the 2022 Disability Equality Index® (DEI), a collaborative project of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability:IN, is Covestro LLC, a major manufacturer of high-performance polymers in North America. As a result of enhanced efforts in a number of inclusion areas, such as community participation, employment policies, and supplier diversity, the company’s score increased from 80 in 2021 to 90 in 2022 (out of a possible 100). Covestro LLC was named a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” as a result of its rating.

Adrienne Woodard, head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Covestro, stated: “At Covestro, we believe all of our workers should be able to come to work as their full, true selves.”

Covestro promotes understanding of both obvious and hidden disabilities through its CARE employee resource organisation, which is devoted to fighting for workers with disabilities. In addition to a variety of ongoing activities centred on visible disabilities, new activities include expanded programming and occasions intended to advocate for issues like neurodiversity, mental health, and anxiety as well as changing internal policy to be more supportive and encourage greater inclusion and allyship.

Covestro was able to identify areas of strength in its efforts to include people with disabilities through its participation in the Disability Equality Index for a second year, but more crucially, it was able to identify improvement potential. This fall, IMPACT: Covestro’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will release a new brochure with details about these initiatives and more.
