Booster Fuels Change in Fueling Solutions
Booster Fuels has a lot of rules because it is a tech-driven, customer-focused business. However, the essential ideals of sustainability and customer happiness reside at the heart of all of our operations. Fleet managers and drivers are being asked to do more as a result of the energy revolution in the transportation industry, and these principles are becoming more and more crucial to Booster’s mission to provide fleets with flexible, affordable fuelling.
I recently discussed the history of Booster and our future plans as the energy market develops in a podcast conversation with Anna Simet of Biodiesel Magazine. Booster Fuels is dedicated to assisting fleets of all sizes, resources, and vehicle types access flexible, sustainable energy solutions as it achieves this.
A New Take on Fueling
I had the concept for Booster Fuels at home. My wife requested me to serve as the “Chief Fueling Officer” for the family when we were expecting our first child, a daughter. That essentially means she had no desire to visit a petrol station ever again. They are unclean, inconvenient, frequently dangerous, and major polluters. However, they are the only option available to the vast bulk of the transportation sector, including practically all passenger vehicles.
I was certain that there had to be a way for us to assist our communities in finding a solution. I wanted to create a fueling solution that was reliable, affordable, and safe.
I mentioned to Simet that there has long been a business that supplies traditional diesel fuel to heavy vehicles. But I wanted to adopt a more contemporary strategy, one that focuses on the market for smaller, more commonplace vehicles like delivery van fleets, ambulances, and school buses — the ones that actually support the essential community functions. These automobiles had been stuck at the petrol station for far too long, and I knew I could come up with a tech-savvy solution. By providing delivery of multiple fuels and energy types together with data-driven efficiency insights, the objective was to make the work lives of those drivers and fleet managers simpler in order to truly transition these fleets into the sustainable future that we are all striving for.
Sustainability Through Flexible, Reliable Fueling
We must acknowledge that business decisions are rarely straightforward and must be made with the bottom line as a primary priority, no matter how enthusiastic we may all be about the compassion underlying sustainability and decarbonization projects. Because a corporation can’t do anything — much less influence positive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) change — if they can’t stay in business, the necessity to generate money frequently overrides ambitions for sustainability.
At Booster, we are dedicated to ensuring that fleets benefit from sustainability, not the other way around. Because of this, we put the requirements of the consumer first at all times, working relentlessly to make sure that using our service makes sustainability the simple, affordable choice. It really is at the core of what we want to accomplish with our firm.
We transport a variety of fuels directly to customers’ fleets through our mobile energy delivery service, to put it briefly. We consult with clients to determine the types, quantities, and locations of the fuels they require. Then, during off-peak hours, our committed service specialists visit their fleet yard to fill the vehicles, ensuring that every driver can begin the workday with a full tank and be ready to go.
Any effort fleets can make to increase paid driver hours is essential for long-term survival given the workforce shortage and high cost of labour. Fleet managers use mobile fuelling to reduce time and labour costs on drivers’ individual gas station journeys, freeing up that time for the accomplishment of corporate goals.
Driving Adoption of Renewable Fuels: Education and Access
Meeting fleets where they are at the moment requires entering the fray during a volatile period for many fleets. Sustainability is a top priority, however due to the tight financial situation and driver shortage, ESG-related decisions are rife with conflict. They’re not required to be. Renewable fuels have the ability to decarbonize fast and inexpensively; not all sustainability solutions require a lot of time and money. All they had to do was be accessible and well-known.
We soon realised there was a disconnect between the production and consumption of renewable fuels: while many of these fuels are generated, they aren’t widely available at typical gas stations. This will be a significant market for ICE fleets to compete in because of the rising number of government incentives meant to encourage production and adoption as well as the market-wide push for sustainability.
Although there has been a lot of misunderstanding about renewable fuels’ affordability and effectiveness, these fuels have advanced significantly in recent years. Many of these fuels exhibit superior performance to conventional fuels, and thanks to current production scale and incentives, they may even be made available at prices that are comparable to those of conventional fuels. Education is the first step in bridging the perception–reality divide.
In order to promote the use of sustainable alternative fuels, we utilise a two-pronged strategy. Getting the word out, educating our clients, and strongly enticing them to choose these lower-carbon options are the main objectives of one prong. The other focuses on using our mobile energy delivery service to make these sustainable alternative fuels not only accessible but also the more practical option.
Fleet Fueling Across the Energy Transition
To make it easier for fleets of all sizes to navigate their particular energy transitions, Booster Fuels works alongside them. We want to be the flexible solution for all of them. A local landscaping fleet will decarbonize very differently than an Amazon delivery fleet, for example. That is why our business really places a premium on dependability and flexibility over the long term. For fleet decarbonization, we think flexible, modular energy may complement existing infrastructure. This implies that we are considering developing mobile energy solutions for all energy sources, such as electricity, hydrogen, and renewable fuels.
Our customers are always put first. Our company was founded with the intention of relieving drivers of the unpleasant process of fueling their vehicles.
