CNH Industrial triumphs in manufacturing leadership awards

For exceptional performance in the Sustainability Leadership category, CNH Industrial was given a 2022 Manufacturing Leadership Award. This award recognises companies that are reshaping the manufacturing industry through digital transformation. The Manufacturing Leadership Council, a branch of the National Association of Manufacturers, has given the Company distinction for the third year in a row. 
 
The manufacturing staff at the Case IH and STEYR agricultural production facility in St. Valentin, Austria, carried out CNH Industrial’s honourable project, Smart Pretreatment for the Paint Shop. The initiative improved operator safety while also ensuring ideal paint quality and the environmentally friendly usage of additives.

Painting is a crucial phase in the manufacturing process, and the best paint quality and adhesion depend on the proper dosage of additives during the pretreatment stage, such as washing detergents and pH reducers. Six sensors and four smart dosing stations provide data that is used to autonomously inject the right amount of chemicals without the need for human interaction. This ensures complete worker safety, a superior paint finish, and much less additive use. 
 
With its paint shop solution, the team’s latest award further demonstrates CNH Industrial’s commitment to manufacturing excellence and advances the company’s mission of Sustainably advancing the selfless labour of international agriculture and construction workers.
