Discovery Education and Northrop Grumman Foundation Launch Education Program
EcoTech Innovators, a new education program linking STEM education and conservation, was launched today by Discovery Education and the Northrop Grumman Foundation. The initiative provides free, standards-aligned tools to engage middle school students in sustainability-focused innovation through hands-on problem-solving challenges and links to STEM experts.
EcoTech Innovators introduces students to significant global concerns as well as game-changing innovations that are being created to enhance lives and create a more balanced future. A variety of free lesson plans engage students in the role of a STEM problem solver as they research major environmental issues and prototype their own original idea. Furthermore, a series of hands-on student activities connect classroom learning with real-world conservation by investigating how Northrop Grumman is utilizing technology in novel ways.
