Edison Volunteers – Holiday Cheer

Edison Volunteers – Along with many other groups, 240 Edison International volunteers spent Saturday morning filling food boxes for low-income families at the Orange County Food Bank. In a friendly competition among the volunteers, the Edison squad in yellow shirts took the lead with more than 5,100 filled boxes that were prepared for delivery to people in need throughout the holiday season. Additionally, Edison gave $5,000 to the event’s sponsor, the Community Action Partnership of Orange County.

Because of restrictions linked to the epidemic, some groups skipped earlier events, so the 2022 National Family Volunteer Day celebration had a particularly joyous feel to it. Young children who were visibly excited to be helping had breakfast burritos, tacos, and ice cream available for them as well as loud music.
