Essity, a hygiene and health company, has been granted a Platinum medal by the sustainability grading company EcoVadis for the second time. The outcome places Essity in the top 1% of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis for their sustainability performance.
Essity scored 78 points out of a possible 100 points in this year’s assessment, putting it in the 99th percentile of companies evaluated. Essity has received a Platinum medal from EcoVadis three times since 2020.
This year’s ranking is based on data from over 62,000 organisations reviewed by EcoVadis between 2018 and 2022 across four themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
“As a global hygiene and health company that provides products and solutions to over a billion people every day, Essity is dedicated to responsible business practises across our value chain.” “We are honoured to receive the Platinum EcoVadis medal again because it recognises our dedication,” says Magnus Groth, President and CEO of Essity.
