The magazine Corporate Governance Asia presented the 12th Asian Excellence Award on January 11th, 2023. Asia’s Best CEO awards were given to Chen Qiyu and Xu Xiaoliang, Executive Directors and Co-CEOs of Fosun International Limited (also known as “Fosun International,. Fosun International has received prizes for Best Corporate Communications and Best CSR in Asia.

Corporate Responsibility Asia is one of the Asian-Pacific region’s top publications on corporate governance. For organisations that have excelled in financial performance, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, environmental protection, corporate communication, and investor relations, it gives the Asian Excellence Award. The 12th Asian Excellence Award’s subject for this year is “Leadership: Reigniting Asia.” The awards are intended to honour business leaders who have shown a strong commitment to social responsibility during the pandemic, organisations that have generously contributed to the fight against the pandemic, teams that have actively shared positive ESG stories, and organisations that have actively promoted global sustainable development.

The COVID-19 pandemic, which has been sweeping the globe for three years, has reportedly presented enormous issues for businesses all around the world, according to Corporate Governance Asia. However, a lot of businesses responded actively to the pandemic’s challenges and demonstrated strong resilience and adaptability throughout it. As a result, all of their business, financial, and operational indicators have shown a steady recovery trend. In order to better meet the demands for COVID-19 patient home treatment, Fosun Pharma recently reached out to a number of online medical platforms for cooperation. The goal is to improve Azvudine’s accessibility through multiple channels. Azvudine has been distributed to 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous entities nationwide since August 2022. Azvudine, a COVID medication, would be donated in phases to 180 counties in the central and western rural areas of China for RMB100 million, according to a 9 January 2023 announcement by the Fosun Foundation, Fosun Pharma, and Genuine Biotech.
