500 nutrition packets were recently given to expectant mothers from low-income households in Ambalantota as part of Global Vision Foundation’s CSR effort to give nutrition packs to 2,000 pregnant women from low-income families in the Hambantota District. The event was planned by the chairman of the Global Vision Foundation (Sunil Gamage Foundation). The CSR project was supported by Tetsuro Yoshida, chairman of Tex Technology Incorporation. Several government employees and officials from the Japanese Embassy were present when the donation was made. The CSR project is being carried out to end poverty in the Hambantota District and improve the nutrition of children and pregnant women there. To accomplish this goal, the Global Vision Foundation intends to carry out a number of additional projects, and some leading Japanese corporations have already committed to supporting these activities.
