GoDaddy Celebrated Womens Entrepreneurship Day

Womens Entrepreneurship Day – Every year in November, the United States celebrates National Entrepreneurship Month to honour the spirit of creativity and realizing one’s dreams. Being an entrepreneur requires boldness on a daily basis. It entails taking the initiative to develop a company idea, design it, and then launch it while aiming for success.

Every year on November 19, Womens Entrepreneurship Day (WED) is observed. This day is dedicated to encouraging and assisting women in realizing their entrepreneurial potential. WED, which is sponsored by the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization, honors the commitment, successes, and enduring influence that women-owned enterprises have on our society. Over 13 million small businesses are owned by women today, up from 400,000 in 1972, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The achievements of women and gender-diverse business owners over the past 50 years have been encouraging, according to Kristy Lilas, Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging at GoDaddy. The companies they’ve founded employ more than 8% of the private labour force, and their tenacity and bravery allowed them to break into competitive fields like healthcare and technology, bringing fresh perspectives, creativity, and diversity with them.

Breaking through barriers and thriving in business, women entrepreneurs are enhancing their communities’ economies and paving the way for others to follow in their footsteps. “GoDaddy is delighted to highlight the effect marginalised entrepreneurs make internationally – empowering and supporting them no matter where they are in their business,” Lilas continued, “since our purpose is to make opportunity more inclusive for all.”

Jessica has worked for GoDaddy for two years as a technical account manager with a focus on WordPress and WooCommerce. She is originally from South Alabama but currently resides in Arizona. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic’s difficulties in 2020, Jessica made the decision to launch Desert Paw as a company. It’s a name that combines her love of her two dogs, Coggs, a Shih Tzu/Pekingese mix, and Nova, a Husky and main brand model, with the state she calls home. She makes reversible dog bandanas by hand that have snap buttons instead of knots.

Jessica’s thought process has always included starting a business. She initially started her company and website to learn how to build websites for her job at GoDaddy. She started making her products soon after and has now owned a business for two years. Her most popular products frequently sell out. Jessica is always eager to discover new materials and patterns so she can offer her clients a wide range of looks. She is currently considering extending her line of goods to include plus-size clothing for dog moms and hands-free leashes.

As a web design expert, Crystal has worked for GoDaddy for a little over a year. She writes for HipsterZine!, a hipster culture blog, in her spare time, where she discusses everything from the newest hipster trends to vacation ideas for coffee lovers. According to Crystal’s blog, “We love hipsters, their look, and their lifestyle.”

She had previously worked in radio for more than 15 years, so HipsterZine! was initially going to be a podcast. It seemed like the right decision. She had eight scripts prepared as well. She changed her mind, though, when she considered that she would have to perform her regular 9 to 5 job in addition to spending time filming, hiring an editor, and putting together episodes. The inspiration for the blog first appeared there. It began operations in February 2022.

The blog’s average reader is a millennial who has always been a part of the hipster subculture, which was once derided as “awkward” and considered to be a lifestyle in the 1990s but is now mainstream and accepted. motivated by HipsterZine!
