The KeyBank Foundation has invested $175,000 to assist Lacasa Inc. in empowering people to make smart financial decisions and providing access to inclusive, mainstream financial products and services. This donation is part of KeyBank’s commitment to investing in the communities it serves.
“We at KeyBank are extremely proud to support Lacasa and the work they do to educate and empower individuals in the community to make good financial decisions,” said Seth Keirns, KeyBank Northern Indiana Market President. “This funding will have a transformative effect on the adults Lacasa serves and provide them with resources and information that will help put them and their families on a path to self-sufficiency and success.”
Lacasa
Lacasa, a non-profit housing agency, offers a variety of programmes and services.
“Over the last few years, Lacasa has seen a significant increase in both interest and necessity for our financial education classes.” “With KeyBank’s continued support and generosity, Lacasa will be able to expand its reach and client base, resulting in a stronger and healthier financial climate throughout Elkhart County,” said Ashley Bowen, Director of Client Empowerment at Lacasa.
Using Key funds, Lacasa hopes to increase financial education course enrollment and more than double the major financial milestones accomplished by working adults over the next three years. They intend to form new employer partnerships in order to provide financial empowerment tools to the workplace in order to boost workforce stability.
Since 2017, KeyBank has committed community initiatives totaling more than $1 billion in support of low to moderate income individuals and neighbourhoods.
