Kohler Co Wins 2022 EPA WaterSense® Sustained Excellence Award
The Kohler Company (Kohler Co) has received a 2022 WaterSense Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in recognition of its ongoing work to develop water-saving plumbing products, encourage water conservation, and contribute to the preservation of this natural resource. The WaterSense programme has recognised Kohler for 13 years overall and for 8 years for Sustained Excellence.
Kohler was honoured alongside 33 other awardees – utilities, manufacturers, builders, retailers, and other organisations that work with WaterSense to promote water-efficient products, homes, and programmes – today during the WaterSmart Innovations (WSI) Conference and Exposition in Las Vegas in recognition of its dedication to promoting WaterSense and water efficiency in 2021.
According to Ratish Namboothiry, Kohler Director of Innovation for Good & Sustainability, “Protecting natural resources like water take form in anything from new goods to awareness to advanced technology.” We are thrilled to be acknowledged by the WaterSense programme and to work alongside so many influential groups that are reducing water waste.
American consumers continue to benefit from the company’s long-standing dedication to creating and marketing goods with the WaterSense badge by saving water, energy, and money. 186 WaterSense-labeled items were introduced by the various plumbing brands of Kohler Co. in 2021.
Over 437 billion gallons of water, 9.26 million metric tonnes of CO2 emissions, and $7 billion in energy and water costs have been saved as a result of Kohler brands since 2007.
