LG Celebrates ENERGY STAR Day

In honor of “ENERGY STAR Day” in 2022, LG Electronics USA once more teamed up with Lowe’s and Rebuilding Together to provide a worthy local family with energy efficiency improvements using ENERGY STAR certified LG home appliances.

The ENERGY STAR renovations, which include an LG refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, and dryer, will help this family live more comfortably and efficiently while also saving them money over time. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates that by purchasing ENERGY STAR goods, such as LG appliances, the average household may save $450 on energy costs while still receiving the quality and performance they require.

Among the local community volunteers who worked together on the family’s urgent house repairs were LG and Lowe’s associates. They added handicap-accessible features, painted interiors and exteriors, fixed roofs, installed weatherization insulation, changed flooring, and installed LG appliances that have earned the ENERGY STAR certification.

The average American household spends nearly $2,000 a year on energy expenses, according to the EPA. About 15% of a household’s energy use is made up of appliances, with refrigerators, clothes washers, and clothes dryers using the most energy. Consumers can save their annual household energy bills by 24 percent by buying ENERGY STAR goods for every room in the house.

Along with an ENERGY STAR certified dishwasher, LG delivered a refrigerator with the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2022 label, which represents the year’s top products for energy efficiency and environmental protection. Rebuilding By installing an LG electric range and over-the-range microwave oven, they completed the kitchen renovation.

Lowe’s and Rebuilding Together are also installing an ENERGY STAR certified LG top-load washer and a matching ENERGY STAR certified LG dryer as part of the home’s energy efficiency improvements. (Clothes washers and dryers with the ENERGY STAR label use roughly 20% less power and 30% less water than standard versions.) LG is giving the family an ENERGY STAR certified air purifier to enhance both indoor air quality and energy efficiency.
