MilliporeSigma – Chris Famolare Names Environment+Energy Leader

The Environment+Energy Leader 50 honoree for 2022 is Christopher Famolare, head of sustainable operations at Merck KGaA’s Life Science division in Darmstadt, Germany, which is known as MilliporeSigma in the United States and Canada.

The Environment+Energy Leader 50 award honors environment and energy “doers” that break new ground in developing innovative products, platforms, initiatives, and solutions to help their businesses. Chris received recognition for organizing the company’s involvement in one of the biggest virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) deals in 2021. Additionally, he is in charge of creating the strategy for Merck KGaA Darmstadt, Germany, which aims to improve greenhouse gas, energy, water, and waste at 66 operational sites throughout the world.
