National Diversity Council

The National Diversity Council is thrilled to announce the appointment of Anika Rahman as its new CEO. The National Diversity Council is committed to empowering organisations to build more inclusive workplaces where all individuals may thrive as the premier organisation dedicated to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace.

“I am thrilled to join the National Diversity Council as CEO and build on the organisation’s historic work to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and in our communities,” Rahman said. “I am confident that, working together, we can build a more equitable and just society in which everyone, regardless of background or identity, has a chance to succeed.”

Rahman is an excellent leader with more than three decades of nonprofit experience in DEI, pioneering the subject long before it was recognised as a discipline. Her experience and strategic vision make her the ideal candidate to lead the National Diversity Council to unparalleled growth and impact in the coming years.

Rahman previously served as Principal at her own executive leadership and management consultancy, Chief Board Relations Officer at the Natural Resources Defence Council, President and CEO of the Ms. Foundation for Women, and co-founder of the Centre for Reproductive Rights.
