QVC UK is a Finalist in Menopause Friendly Employer Awards

The first Menopause Friendly Employer Awards have recognized QVC UK, a global leader in video commerce, as a finalist in two categories. The awards, which are presented by Menopause Friendly with assistance from the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development), honor businesses that have gone above and beyond in their efforts to be “menopause friendly.” Over 85 entries were received for the first Menopause Friendly Employer Awards’ 10 categories. For their team member celebration of World Menopause Day in October 2021, coordinated by QVC UK’s Gender Equality TMRG, the company was recognized as a finalist in the category for the best engagement campaign (Team Member Resource Group). In addition, Tracey Cuckson, a member of the QVC UK team, was acknowledged as a finalist in the community award category for her ardent efforts.

Menopause is a very under-discussed and under-represented topic in daily life, despite QVC’s belief that it should be a unifying, solidarity-building experience for women. Only 9% of the more than 2,000 women polled by Atomik Research1 felt prepared for this life-changing event, and more than one in five women believe they have no one with whom to discuss menopause. In addition, one-third of the women polled said they had never even brought up the subject of menopause with a female relative. Because of these shocking figures, QVC UK created the Menopause Your Way campaign, which features motivational women from all walks of life sharing their personal experiences with menopause.
