Rockwell Automation Supports Relief Efforts

Following Hurricane Fiona, which devastated Puerto Rico on September 18, Rockwell Automation (NYSE:ROK) began a month-long campaign this week to match employee donations 2:1 and fund relief efforts. The company will match contributions made by eligible employees to the American National Red Cross up to $50,000.
Funds will help provide shelter, food, and medicine to locals affected by mudslides, landslides, and flash flooding – with the risk of more as severe weather persists. The area is still recovering from the destruction of prior storms.
“The homes and neighbourhoods of the people of Puerto Rico continue to sustain severe damage. A malfunctioning electricity grid has made the island’s destruction even worse, according to Patricia Contreras, vice president for community impact. “The road to recovery is long, but we are pleased of our historic association with the Red Cross and these relief donations will help with much-needed support.”
