One of the top online fashion shops in Europe, Spartoo (Paris:ALSPT), is delighted to emphasise its dedication to CSR since its founding in 2006.

A business that values solidarity

The fight against child mortality and ensuring that all children have access to school in less developed nations have long been two of Spartoo’s key causes.

Spartoo has been working with Amref, an African NGO that promotes fair access to healthcare, particularly for women and children, for almost ten years. To enhance the healthcare system and lower infant mortality, Spartoo is partnering with Amref to train midwives.

Every year, Spartoo develops a new product in support of Amref and gives the proceeds. It is a baby bib this year. Moreover, a free donation can be made by visiting the operation page, which is accessible here.

The region in the world with the highest rates of maternal and infant mortality is still Sub-Saharan Africa. One in thirteen youngsters do not live to turn five (Source, UN, 2017). According to the WHO, this is made worse by the health crisis and instability.

Along with Soles4Souls, Spartoo is dedicated to “la paire solidaire” and promoting educational access. Furthermore, while shoes are seen as a fashion accessory in our society, they are a basic necessity in developing nations and can help avoid numerous parasite infections. For a voucher worth 20 euros, Spartoo offers its customers the chance to donate up to two pairs of shoes to help those in need. A collection of pairs of shoes that have been meticulously organized.

“As a major economic force in Europe, it has been our duty for more than ten years to commit to solidarity initiatives in troubled nations and for those in need. Our long-term support aims to stimulate the adoption of appropriate, locally tailored solutions to lower infant mortality through the training of midwives while simultaneously advancing access to education “Boris Saragaglia, co-founder and CEO of Spartoo, adds. Being the top European online fashion store and in the present climatic situation, “we believe it is necessary to make environmental issues a priority,” he continues.

In accordance with its operations and in response to the environmental, social, and societal concerns it faces, Spartoo will continue to implement its CSR plan in 2023.
