The host organizations praised Sterling One for creating what they described as grassroots initiatives that are leaving a positive footprint at their one-day event, “Only One Earth: Building A Safer Environment.”

The gathering of public and private sector environmental sustainability players, as well as development organizations, was organized with the goal of creating a blueprint of solutions designed to address some of the difficulties unique to Africa, with a focus on Nigeria.

The conference’s outcomes, according to ECOSEA Convener Joshua Ajayi, would aid in the creation of policies that will facilitate the country’s accomplishment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are related to the environment.

Sustainability experts and organizations were honored for their achievements to environmental sustainability in the nation at the conclusion of the event’s conference. In an effort to create a sustainable environment, the Sterling One Foundation was recognized for its efforts to recycling and better waste management.

In her remarks to the media, Mrs. Olapeju revealed that the Sterling One Foundation plans to begin by planting 10,000 economic trees across the six geopolitical zones in partnership with the Unity Schools Alumni in 2023. The foundation has the vision to plant 200 million trees with its partners before 2030.

In collaboration with the school’s alumni association, we will start tree-planting clubs to train students who will not only plant these trees but also help nurseries produce additional trees for other schools.
