Sustainability Lands in Cinemas With Lucca Film Festival for Future, the New Short Film Competition in Collaboration With Sofidel as Part of LFF 2023

Lucca Film Festival will be eco-friendly. The Tuscan company Sofidel, one of the world’s leading producers of sanitary and household paper, best known in Italy and Europe for its Regina brand, is the sponsor of the inaugural edition of the Lucca Film Festival for Future, a competition for short films with green themes related to environmental protection, as part of the 2023 festival, in particular the Lucca Film Festival (LFF), which will take place in Lucca from 23 September to 1 October.  

Italian and international filmmakers and directors can submit their films by Friday 28th July 2023 as a video link to future@luccafilmfestival.it or by registering on the Filmfreeway and Festhome platforms. The short film must be no longer than 29 minutes of him, screened for the first time in Italy and made before 2021. 15 works will be selected from all over the world, screened during the festival period, and competed for awards. The selection aims to present the most innovative and interesting forms of narrative, documentary and interactive storytelling.

A competition for short films focused on eco-friendly themes, in collaboration with the international network “Film For Our Future” and the festival of the EURASF network (European network of science communicators, filmmakers, film producers and festival organizers). go back.

A jury of 10 film festival representatives from the Film For Our Future network will evaluate the films and announce the results by September 15, 2023. The winners will be announced at Astra Cinema in Lucca and € awarded 1,000 of the best will be awarded.
