T Rowe Price of Trading Analytics Teresa Woodard Wins Women in Finance Award

Teresa Woodard has been named to Markets Media Group’s eighth annual U.S. Women in Finance Awards list for Excellence in Trading Analytics, according to the investment management company Rowe Price , a pioneer in retirement services. Since 2018, Woodard has served as T Rowe Price’s head of trading analytics.

According to Marc Wyatt, head of global trading at T Rowe Price, “Teresa is a recognized thought leader both internally and within the industry.” She leads her team by example and holds herself to a high level, acting as a mentor to many. We are pleased that she has received this distinguished award in recognition of her contributions to the firm and beyond.

Woodard has worked for T Rowe Price for 21 years. After graduating from college, she worked as a research assistant before becoming a senior solutions analyst and ultimately a vice president on the equity trading team. Prior to taking on her current position as vice president and head of trading analytics, she worked for eight years in that position. In that capacity, she oversees a team of data analysts working across the world to deliver the best trading analytics for the equities, fixed income, and foreign exchange markets.

A driven team leader, Woodard is a part of the company’s Black Leadership Council and Amplify Voices, lending her voice and expertise to ensure that there is active discussion on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues with the Management Committee and working to recruit and retain underrepresented groups.

In order to honour accomplished and gifted women working in all areas of the capital markets industry, including buy-side and sell-side trading desks, institutional investors, wealth managers, securities exchanges, technology providers, corporate finance, venture capital firms, and fintech start-ups, Markets Media Group established the Women in Finance Awards programme in 2015. Readers of Markets Media and Traders Magazine submit nominees, and the editorial board selects shortlists and winners.
