TXU Energy provides $250,000 to Uvalde Community
TXU Energy, Vistra’s flagship retail electricity brand, announced today a $250,000 donation to the Uvalde community and groups working to offer crucial relief in the aftermath of the Robb Elementary School shooting.
“In this time of immeasurable loss, the entire TXU Energy family grieves alongside the people of Uvalde and fellow Texans,” said Scott Hudson, president of TXU Energy. “While there are no words to express the depths of grief that the devastated families and community are feeling, we hope that our donation will provide them some comfort and support as they face the weeks and months ahead.”

The $250,000 donation will go directly to the relatives of the victims, as well as organizations and medical institutions that provide critical response services.
The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country will receive $100,000 to operate the Uvalde Strong Fund in support of victims, their families, and the whole community of Uvalde. This comprises charitable groups that are currently functioning in Uvalde and will be in the next months.
The United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County will receive $100,000 to establish a United with Uvalde fund to provide emergency and long-term mental health assistance to the Uvalde community.
$50,000 will be donated to Uvalde Memorial Hospital, which treated 15 people injured in the Robb Elementary School shooting. The money will be utilized to help the hospital and its employees.
